Asia Area Multi-Stake Conference, Another My Path Presentation in Phnom Penh and Mission Fast

It may seem that every other Sunday is a Conference of some sort here in Cambodia, with General Conference less than a month ago, today was a Multi-Stake Video Conference.  This was a prerecorded conference that was shown in Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Mongolia, Taiwan and Hong Kong.  Elder Russell M. Nelson of the Quorum of the Twelve presided, Elder Larry Y. Wilson of the Seventy conducted and spoke, Bishop Dean Davies of the Presiding Bishopric, and Carol McConkie of the General Young Womens Presidency also spoke.  It was a wonderful conference and we got to attend it with the International Branch and listen to it in English.  It was also a treat to sing the Hymns in English instead of our very limited Khmer.

Earlier this week President Moon sent a email to all of the missionaries in Cambodia, including the Senior Couples inviting us to fast this weekend for the missionaries in our mission.  There have been more incidents of illness and medical problems in the last couple of weeks than usual.  We were also fasting for help to finally get the complete Self Reliance Service initiative approved in Cambodia.  Currently we can only teach the Starting and Growing My Business here, we still waiting to the government approval to teaching Education for Better Work and My Job Search.  So would you please keep this in your prayers for us, that the Cambodian Government will approve the licenses that we need.

This evening there was a My Path devotional for the Phnom Penh East District.  This time we did not have to go across town it was held at the Stake Center by our home where are office is at.  There were eighteen members that attended and it seemed to go very well.  Some of the members told Phanna afterwards that they were surprised at how helpful this material was to them.  The Self Reliance materials are inspired! They are available to any who are interested. You can find them on the LDS Library app under Self Reliance, or in lds.org in the Resources tab. They are worth checking out!
